Peanut Butter for the Hungry

Peanuts with Arbol Chilli PepperServes: Makes 4 servings
Cooking Time:  40 minutes

Salty meets spicy with this delicious peanut snack. Perfect for a mid-day treat, or movie night.


2 cups US peanuts, peeled
20 arbol hot peppers, sliced
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
½ cup olive oil
4 tbsp grain salt


Heat half the oil in a pan, fry peanuts until they start to brown avoiding burning them. Remove carefully.

Add remaining oil, fry garlic until golden, add peppers for a couple of minutes; pour over the peanuts, season with salt and let cool.

Serve in serving dishes.
