The 2024 APC Sheller MOU for the export of peanuts to the European Union/United Kingdom for food and feed use is critical in re-establishing a working relationship with the EU and UK so that we can jointly resolve technical issues causing excessive aflatoxin border rejections.  Submission of the signed MOU certification packet demonstrates that the sheller is committed to meeting the EU/UK’s quality procedures and standards for the control of aflatoxin in peanuts for food and feed use.

The following U.S. shellers are approved 2024 APC Sheller MOU signatories for both Food and Feed.

This following video and file (.pptx) provide training on the 2024 EU/UK Aflatoxin Sheller Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The training provides a description of the EU market and defines the technical procedures needed to meet EU/UK aflatoxin food safety requirements. When the sheller signs the MOU and commits to following the listed procedures, the sheller is listed as an MOU signatory on the APC’s 2024 Sheller MOU public website and on the EU/UK-equivalent aflatoxin certificate.
