Taylor Garcia began her career at General Mills as a Logistics Management Associate Intern while obtaining her degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University.

After graduation, she was hired as Plant Logistics Planner for Betty Crocker Frosting scheduling production and raw materials in SAP to support and optimize plant capacity, changeover waste and ingredient availability. This was quickly followed by an Operations Shift Manager/Betty Crocker Frosting position to Brand Planner and then Supply Planner for Pillsbury Cookies, where she was responsible for a rolling 18 month capacity plan, production strategy and successful new product launch strategies with a focus on waste mitigation and cross functional collaboration. Taylor successfully reduced seasonal cookie waste 52% while supporting 14% sales growth and maintaining 99% service.

This was followed by a new appointment as Buyer for Value Added Ingredients responsible for strategy development, day-to-day issue resolution, supplier relationship management and overall category expertise on a spend of $74MM for colors, chemicals, vitamin enrichments, pouches, fillings, icing, and salt.

Taylor’s most recent promotion came in December 2019 as Senior Buyer for Nuts across General Mills vast peanut and tree nut materials. She is responsible for supplier management, cost savings, and source-to-pay processes.

Laureen Greevers, General Mills former Senior Buyer for Nuts, was promoted December 2019 to Sourcing Associate Manager, Fruit Preps for GMI's Yoplait/Yogurt operating unit. APC appreciates Lauren’s engagement with and support of the Council and wishes her continued success in her career at General Mills.
