American Peanut Council Statement on the Appointments of Alexis Taylor for USDA
Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Services, and Doug McKalip
for Chief Agricultural Negotiator, Office of the U.S. Trade Representative

Alexandria, Va., Dec. 23, 2022  - "The American Peanut Council (APC) congratulate Alexis Taylor and Doug McKalip on their appointments to critically important posts in the Biden Administration to enhance U.S. agricultural trade,” stated Richard Owen, President and CEO of the American Peanut Council.   “With these two trade positions now filled, Ms. Taylor and Ambassador McKalip will hit the ground running providing important leadership to promote U.S. agricultural products abroad and advance fair trade and science-based decision making by other countries, eliminating unwarranted trade barriers to U.S. peanuts and peanut products.  APC and the entire industry looks forward to working with these two highly experienced trade professionals to expand exports of American-grown peanuts and peanut products.”
